2) Contact analysis of damping ring. The contact between damping ring and spiral bevel gear groove is nonlinear contact, which is more complex. The existing calculation methods mostly use the method of equivalent linear model, so the research on its nonlinear contact should be strengthened.
3) Analysis of the influence of damping ring on the damping of spiral bevel gear. The friction between the damping ring and the spiral bevel gear groove is fretting friction, and the damping effect of the damping ring on the spiral bevel gear is more complex. The existing calculation methods mostly use the method of equivalent Coulomb friction, which is not accurate enough, so it is necessary to deepen the research in this field.
4) Study on wear of damping ring. The damping ring of spiral bevel gear will be worn in the process of use, which will have a great impact on the damping effect of the damping ring, and even lead to the falling off of the damping ring. The existing research on the wear of damping ring is in the stage of vacancy, so it should be carried out.
