Physical and mechanical properties of spiral bevel gear steel

During grinding, grinding force will affect the formation of grinding heat and the performance of workpiece surface, and then have a great impact on the quality and machining accuracy of workpiece surface. It is an important index to measure the cutting performance of grinding wheel and the material performance of workpiece to be machined. At the same time, the grinding force also affects the setting of relevant parameters of grinding test, the design of workbench fixing device and the research of grinding mechanism. Therefore, the research on grinding force will help to evaluate the grinding process, lay a foundation for the subsequent research on grinding heat and grinding surface performance, and play a certain guiding significance for the actual processing and production of spiral bevel gear.

30CrMnTi steel has high strength and good hardenability. It is commonly used as carburizing steel. After carburizing, it can reduce a certain temperature from 920 ℃ to 820 ℃ to facilitate the subsequent quenching process. It has high bending strength, good wear resistance and excellent cutting performance. It is commonly used in heavy-duty carburized parts with large section in heavy vehicles and gears, torque shafts, worm gears, etc.

The 30CrMnTi material used in the test was provided by a state-owned factory. Its chemical composition and physical properties are shown in Table 1 and table 2 below:
