1.Grinding of milling cutter bar
Before preparing for the gear cutting experiment, the grinding of the cutting edge of the equal height spiral bevel gear milling cutter should be completed first. In order to ensure that the cutting edge of contour spiral bevel gear milling cutter has the required dimensional parameters, the grinding of contour spiral bevel gear milling cutter must be completed on an independent instrument. Because the front flank of the cutter has the protective measures of coating, it can only grind the back flank of the contour spiral bevel gear milling strip and the position behind the tool tip. Using this grinding method can not only eliminate the loss of coating the rake face again after tool grinding, but also use the contour spiral bevel gear milling cutter bar for many times within the range of meeting the length requirements.
On Gleason 300-cg grinder, the shape and dimensional parameters of the milling cutter bar of equal high tooth spiral bevel gear are processed. Because the material of the milling cutter of the equal height spiral bevel gear is cemented carbide and the milling cutter disc of the high tooth spiral bevel gear is 42CrMo, the diamond grinding wheel is selected for the machining and grinding of the equal height spiral bevel gear milling cutter. 2.Parameter detection of milling cutter bar
Observe and check whether the grinding of high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter bar is qualified. If the grinding result does not meet the qualified milling cutter size parameters, the program of the grinder should be arranged again until the milling cutter meets the standard. The observation and inspection of high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter bar are divided into two parts:
(1) Observe the milling cutter bar of high tooth spiral bevel gear under the tool microscope. Observe under the tool microscope in Figure 6-2, mainly observe the appearance, top edge, tooth shape angle and back angle of side edge of high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter bar, and use the tool microscope to measure the overall and partial length deviation;
(2) Place the milling cutter bar of high tooth spiral bevel gear that has been grinded on the tool tester for inspection.
Place the qualified high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter bar properly on the detection point of the tool tester, use the dial indicator of the tool tester to measure the tool tip and the top of the tool tip in turn, and save the relevant parameter data. Then continue to test other high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter strips. If the data viewed by the cutter tester is the same as that in the past, it indicates that the tested high tooth spiral bevel gear milling cutter strips meet the requirements. Both internal and external milling cutters should be tested after grinding.
