(1) The modeling of contour teeth mostly adopts the modeling method based on machining principle, and less adopts the modeling method based on three-dimensional geometric relationship. In the modeling method based on three-dimensional geometric relationship, most of them use plane calculation to obtain the parameter equation of extended epicycloid, and there is a lack of perfect spatial modeling parameter equation. Therefore, It is necessary to systematically deduce the modeling parameter equation of equal height teeth.
(2) Most of the modeling of equal height spiral bevel gear still adopts the traditional manual modeling method, but the manual modeling has the problems of low modeling accuracy, low modeling efficiency and unable to edit the model details. Therefore, the automatic modeling design of equal height spiral bevel gear is needed.
(3) The traditional mechanical cutting method is still used in the machining of equal height spiral bevel gears, but this method will cause the problems of low utilization of materials, destruction of gear streamline and low machining efficiency. Precision forging can improve the utilization of materials and the service strength and service life of local gears. It is an advantageous forming method for the forming of equal tooth spiral dimension gears. Considering the complex tooth profile of equal height gear and the lack of systematic forging process research. Therefore, it is necessary to study the automatic die design and precision forging technology of equal height spiral bevel gear.
