Selection of blank, determination of dimension and accuracy·
Determination of blank type: generally, 20grmnti alloy steel is used for automobile drive axle gear, which is carburized and quenched. The material and heat treatment of CA1092 automobile drive axle gear are shown in Table 2. In large-scale production, gear blanks are made by die forging. After normalizing, the hardness is 157 ~ 207hv.

Determination of blank structure, dimension and accuracy:
Simplify the structural details of the parts. Because the parts are produced in large quantities, the accuracy of the blank is taken as ordinary level and ct9 level. According to these data, the rough drawing is drawn. As shown in the figure:
