Contact analysis of spiral bevel gear under static loading

Based on the three-dimensional geometric model of spiral bevel gear, the meshing characteristics of spiral bevel gear are analyzed under static loading. In order to analyze the influence of different working conditions on the meshing performance of spiral bevel gear, the static meshing characteristics of spiral bevel gear such as rotation angle, transmission error, contact force, actual coincidence degree, contact area, contact stress and bending stress under three different torque working conditions are calculated respectively. The theoretical calculation values of tooth surface contact stress and tooth root bending stress under various working conditions are obtained, and the tooth surface contact and tooth root bending strength are checked.

The principle of finite element contact analysis and gear static analysis and calculation are described; According to the geometric characteristics of spiral bevel gear, multiple independent teeth with exactly the same geometry are divided along the circumferential direction according to the number of teeth; In CATIA, the single tooth of spiral bevel gear is divided into multiple regions by auxiliary dividing surface; The finite element mesh model of spiral bevel gear is created in ABAQUS, and the loading contact analysis of spiral bevel gear under different static load conditions is completed. The analysis results include the rotation angle, transmission error, tooth surface contact force, actual coincidence degree, contact area, tooth surface contact stress and tooth root bending stress of spiral bevel gear; Through the theoretical calculation formula, the tooth surface contact stress and tooth root contact stress under the same working condition as the finite element contact analysis are obtained, and the strength check is completed.
