In order to study the contact force variation characteristics of spiral bevel gears under dynamic meshing, the contact force variation laws of five adjacent spiral bevel gear tooth surface contact pairs in initial meshing under the above five working conditions are extracted respectively, as shown in Figure 1 ~ 5.
It can be seen from the variation curve of tooth contact force under various working conditions in the above figure that in the initial stage of meshing, due to the influence of meshing impact, the tooth surface contact force has a large vibration amplitude. It can be seen from Fig. 1, Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 that when the speed increases under the same load and different speed conditions, the maximum meshing impact force of spiral bevel gear contact pair obviously increases; After meshing smoothly, the contact force also increases with the increase of rotating speed. It can be seen from figures 1, 4 and 5 that the maximum meshing impact force has no obvious change under the same speed and different load conditions; However, the contact force decreases with the decrease of load; Under light load condition, the total contact force of spiral bevel gear is zero, which indicates that the spiral bevel gear transmission is out of meshing at this time.
