Dynamic meshing force analysis of spur gear pair

Based on the model in Figure 1, the center distance deviation is set to 0.06 mm, the load torque T is set to 200 N · m, and the basic rotational speed n is set to 5000 r/min. The finite element models of spur gears at 0.56 n, n, 1.5 n, and 2 n rotational speeds are established respectively. Import the model into LS-DYNA for simulation solution.

Extract the contact force curves of the spur gear pair during the stable meshing stage of the gear pair from 0.17s to 0.175s, as shown in Figure 2.

According to the meshing force curve, when the rotational speed is n, 1.5n, and 2n, the fluctuation of the meshing force in the stable stage of the spur gear pair increases with the increase of the rotational speed, with the magnitude of 3071N, 5752N, and 6809N, respectively; When the rotational speed is 0.56n, the spur gear pair is excited to resonate, causing a serious disengagement phenomenon, and the meshing force fluctuation increases significantly.
