# Dynamic performance analysis of involute straight bevel gear transmission system

1) Inherent characteristic analysis

At present, the analysis of the natural characteristics of involute straight bevel gear system generally includes the analysis of gear transmission, the natural frequency and vibration mode of involute straight bevel gear wheel body and box; Research on the relationship between system structure and inherent characteristics in order to optimize and design system structure.

The first 10 natural frequencies of involute straight bevel gear transmission are analyzed and obtained by RomaxDesigner software, as shown in the table. If these frequencies coincide with the internal excitation frequency (gear meshing frequency), it is easy to cause resonance.

The excitation frequency of involute straight bevel gear transmission is also the meshing frequency of gears. The excitation frequency of a pair of involute straight bevel gears transmitted with each other is the same. If the natural frequency of a certain order of involute straight bevel gear coincides with or is very close to the excitation frequency, the transmission of involute straight bevel gear is prone to resonance.

Combined with the previous involute straight bevel gear parameters and working conditions, the meshing frequency of the pair of involute straight bevel gears is 10 × 157/2π=15 × 104.7/2π=249.87Hz。 Compared with the natural frequency of involute spur bevel gear transmission in the table, it can be seen that the natural frequency of involute straight bevel gear transmission avoids the meshing frequency, so there will be no resonance in the process of involute straight bevel gear transmission.

2) Vibration response analysis

The vibration and noise of involute straight bevel gear transmission are analyzed by using the dynamic analysis module of romax. Taking the transmission error as the excitation, the dynamic response curve of involute straight bevel gear transmission system can be obtained, as shown in the figure.

It can be seen from the above figure that the modal flexibility value reaches the maximum value of -4.96 when the frequency is 730hz × ten μ M / N, the vibration at this time has the greatest contribution to the vibration and noise of the whole involute straight bevel gear transmission.
