Fixed grinding speed vs = 20.3 M / s and cylindrical gear steel speed VW = 1200 m / min. the test is carried out under different grinding depth AP. The influence of cylindrical gear steel grinding depth on residual stress is shown in the figure.
The figure shows the effect of the change of grinding depth of cylindrical gear steel on the surface residual stress of 30crmnti material after grinding. It can be seen that with the increase of grinding depth of cylindrical gear steel, the value of residual compressive stress decreases gradually, at AP = 90 μ M, the surface residual compressive stress is only 12 MPa. This is because the grinding depth of cylindrical gear steel increases, and the grinding force and grinding heat of cylindrical gear steel increase accordingly, but the residual tensile stress caused by the increase of grinding heat of cylindrical gear steel plays a leading role, so the value of residual compressive stress decreases gradually.
