Example Inspection of Spur Gear Modification Engineering

Based on the provided parameters of the spur gear pair and operating conditions, the maximum modification amount of these spur gears was recalculated using the ISO gear modification amount calculation method and the spur gear modification amount calculation method based on the stiffness of the elastohydrodynamic friction pair in this article. The results were compared with the actual modification amount of these spur gears, as shown in the table.

The simulation results in the comprehensive table indicate that it is necessary to include the influence of elastohydrodynamic lubrication when determining the modification amount of spur gears, and the effect will be better.
