Experiment on two axis linkage gear cutting of spiral bevel gear

Based on the motion analysis and computer simulation of two-axis linkage gear cutting, the principle prototype of spiral bevel gear two-axis linkage gear milling machine is developed. Taking the gear cutting blank and the gear cutting blank as an example. Finally, the tooth surface deviation of the machined spiral bevel gear is measured with the help of the gear measuring center of model 3906t, so as to further verify the feasibility of the proposed new method of two-axis linkage gear cutting.

On the basis of xk716 CNC milling machine, refitting and adding key functional components, the principle prototype of two-axis linkage milling of spiral bevel gear is developed, and the design and processing of bevel gear blank and the purchase of cutting tools are carried out. Finally, the cutting experiment is carried out, and the right-hand spiral bevel gear with nylon, 15 teeth and 9 modulus is cut. Moreover, 3906t gear measuring center is used to detect the tooth surface deviation of the processed spiral bevel gear. The measurement results show that the normal deviation of the tooth surface is between -0.0227mm ~ 0.0097mm. The research work further confirms the feasibility of the developed principle prototype of gear cutting machine tool and the new method of two-axis linkage gear cutting of spiral bevel gear.
