1.Open die hot die forging
Open die hot die forging is the earliest forging process of driven bevel gear. With the continuous improvement of forging production technology, it has been gradually replaced by ring rolling and rotary rolling.
Disadvantages: large production investment, low material utilization rate, low production efficiency, high noise, large vibration, very bad labor environment and high production cost.
2.Radial rolling forming process
Ring rolling, in fact, can be regarded as a rolling process, which mainly carries out continuous local compression deformation on the ring to realize the plastic processing process of increasing the inner hole and thinning the wall thickness of the forging.
Ring rolling has the following advantages:
(1) Because the ring is under local pressure and the contact area between the die and the ring is small, the stress on the forging is reduced accordingly, which is only the stress on the conventional forging, so the tonnage of the equipment is small;
(2) Because the ring rolling process is aimed at ring parts, the metal flow of forgings is distributed in a circular shape, which is conducive to filling the die cavity.
(3) In most cases, the internal grains of formed forgings are fine and the structure is dense. On the whole, all properties are better than other processing technologies.
(4) Compared with other forming processes, the ring formed by ring rolling is closer to the requirements of finished products, so it has small machining allowance, less raw material consumption, high material utilization rate and low production cost.
(5) Ring rolling process has good working environment and low labor intensity.
3.Reaming and rolling process
Advantages: good product quality, low consumption, high labor production efficiency, no pollution such as vibration and noise, and low production cost.
4.Double cone rotary forging
It is a kind of continuous rolling process in which the blank is gradually subjected to some kind of rotary forming pressure through a conical rolling process. The swing rolling die is divided into two parts. One part is the cone-shaped cone as the active die, which is in local contact with the ring blank in the processing process and applies pressure to it to play the role of active pressurization; The other part is the die, that is, the part where the workpiece is installed, but this part has no relative movement with the workpiece.
Advantages: the outer diameter of the ring after rotary rolling has no flash, and the inner diameter has only a small amount of flash, with high precision and good quality.
