Improvement Design of Broken Tooth Fault in Planetary Gear Reducer

The planetary gear reducer has made improvements to the rotating actuator in response to the cause of the malfunction. To improve the torsional stiffness of the planetary carrier, the outer diameter of the planetary carrier is increased while the structure and principle remain unchanged to enhance the stiffness. The outer diameter of the planetary carrier is adjusted by Φ 76 mm increased to Φ 96 mm。

After increasing the outer diameter of the planetary carrier, the planetary gear meshing center distance and planetary gear module in the original product planetary reduction component cannot meet the improved structure. Therefore, the planetary gear module has been changed from 28 mm to 35 mm, and the planetary gear module has been increased from 1.5/1.3 to 2/1.6. The weight of the product has increased by about 2 kg compared to before the improvement, and the outer diameter size of the product has increased by 20 mm compared to before the improvement.
