Orthogonal experiment of spiral bevel gear

The test mainly investigates the influence of the grinding process parameters of spiral bevel gear (grinding depth, grinding speed and gear generation speed) on the surface roughness of spiral bevel gear and the residual stress of the tooth surface perpendicular to the grinding direction. Therefore, the orthogonal test of three factors is designed. According to the previously accumulated basic grinding test data, each factor takes three horizontal values, designs the experiment according to the principle of uniform distribution, and then analyzes and counts the experimental results, The optimal combination of process parameters is obtained. The designed orthogonal experiment table of spiral bevel gear grinding is shown in Table 1.

Taking the grinding surface roughness of spiral bevel gear and the residual stress of tooth surface in the vertical grinding direction as the evaluation index, according to the determined three factors and three levels, the orthogonal table L9 (34) is selected, and a column of error column is reserved for variance analysis. The established orthogonal experimental table is shown in Table 2.

A total of 9 groups of experiments were carried out, which were the same as the experimental environment. Each group of process parameters corresponded to a slot. After machining, the teeth were cut by wire cutting, and the orthogonal test results were obtained after relevant processing and measurement.

It can be seen that the factor that has the greatest influence on the tooth surface roughness Ra is the grinding speed, followed by the grinding depth. The spiral bevel gear has the least influence on the generating speed. The optimal parameter combination is vs = 25 m / s, w = 10 ° / s, AP = 30 μ m; The residual stress on the surface of spiral bevel gear σ The most influential factor is the grinding depth, followed by the grinding speed.
