Parametric modeling of helical cylindrical gears

Before the meshing motion simulation of helical gear, the involute helical cylindrical gear is created first. According to the involute equation of cylindrical gear, the parametric modeling of helical cylindrical gear is carried out by using the secondary development tool program in Pro/E.

The idea of parametric design of helical cylindrical gear is: setting the main parameters of helical cylindrical gear; According to the relationship between known parameters and other dimensions, add relevant formulas; In Cartesian coordinate system, edit function equation and create involute; Create a cog or tooth from a helix.

Based on the module Mn, tooth number Z1 and helix angle of helical cylindrical gear β 、 The tooth width b parameter is a parameterized object. According to the research needs of this subject, the parameters of helical cylindrical gear are input as follows: modulus Mn = 2.5, number of teeth Z1 = 20, pressure angle α = 20 °, helix angle β = 10 °, tooth width b = 30, addendum height coefficient h * an = 1 and addendum clearance coefficient C * n = 0.25. The obtained helical cylindrical gear is shown in the figure.
