Research on Robust Optimization Design of Spiral Bevel Gear

By summarizing the relevant research on robust design of spiral bevel gears at home and abroad, it is concluded that:

(1) There are many factors affecting spiral bevel gear transmission, but only the error can be eliminated by robust optimization design. Taking into account the uncertainty of design variables and other factors, scholars adopt the method of combining probability theory with optimal design to obtain the best design parameters, so as to adjust the machined tooth surface and obtain the best design results.

(2) At present, there are many literatures on the robust design of gear transmission, and the research is relatively mature, but there are few literatures on the robust design of spiral bevel gears, especially the research on the robust optimization design of spiral bevel gears with the goal of minimum installation error sensitivity is not particularly mature. This should be further studied and applied in the optimization design of spiral bevel gears, providing reference for vibration reduction and noise reduction of spiral bevel gears.

(3) In this paper, only the robust optimization design of spiral bevel gears with installation errors is considered, and other errors are not studied. However, the problems caused by them do affect the transmission performance of spiral bevel gears. Therefore, in the aspect of robust optimization design of spiral bevel gears, other errors should also be considered and further exploration should be carried out.
