The accuracy of straight bevel gear model will have an important impact on the following dynamic analysis, simulation results and gear manufacturing accuracy. In terms of modeling, the three-dimensional model of straight bevel gear generated by back cone involute or arc curve is not accurate enough, there are certain errors, and the simulation analysis results of accurate modification on the dynamic performance of straight bevel gear can not be obtained. The spherical involute is drawn by using the spherical involute equation, and the three-dimensional modeling of straight bevel gear is completed. Combined with the determined modification parameters, the tooth profile modification and tooth direction equidistant modification are carried out on straight bevel gear, and finally the three-dimensional accurate model of modified involute straight bevel gear is obtained, which not only ensures the accuracy of the model, but also improves the efficiency of modeling.
Based on the involute equation of straight bevel gear profile, the involute coordinates are solved by MATLAB software, and the spherical involutes with large and small ends are generated in SolidWorks modeling software. The three-dimensional solid accurate modeling of straight bevel gear is completed through surface filling, ruled surface, lofting and surface cutting. According to the obtained modification parameters, the tooth profile modification of the straight bevel gear tooth entity is completed, and the three-dimensional model of the straight bevel gear with arc modification of the tooth profile and equidistant modification of the tooth direction is obtained through virtual assembly. The model is checked for interference to ensure that the model has no interference, and the straight bevel gear pair meets the meshing motion requirements. The three-dimensional model of straight bevel gear is established by using spherical involute, which not only ensures the high accuracy of the solid model, but also improves the modeling efficiency, and provides an accurate three-dimensional model of straight bevel gear before and after modification for the next dynamic simulation analysis, processing and manufacturing.
