Vibration caused by automobile gear assembly error

The speed of driving wheel is 1200 R / min, the meshing frequency of automobile gear is 160 Hz, the rotation frequency of driving wheel is 125 Hz and the rotation frequency of driven wheel is 25 Hz.

(1) The vibration refinement spectrum of automobile gear under normal assembly is shown in Figure 1. From the vibration refinement spectrum, it can be seen that the automobile gear moves smoothly, and there is basically no large vibration amplitude. There is a slightly large vibration amplitude around 80Hz, but within the acceptable range, this is caused by 1 / 2 of the meshing frequency of automobile gear. During the operation of automobile, This is normal.

(2) The detailed spectrum of vibration when the driving wheel moves forward by 0.02 mm is shown in Figure 2. It can be seen from the figure that a high peak suddenly appears at about 80 Hz, and the amplitude changes little at other frequencies. At this time, the peak is caused by 1 / 2 of the meshing frequency of the automobile gear, which has exceeded the acceptable range, resulting in strong vibration of the automobile.

(3) The detailed vibration spectrum of the driving wheel moving backward by 0.02 mm is shown in Figure 3. From that figure, it can be seen that the vibration amplitude is relatively large before 150 Hz, and there is a relatively large amplitude around 80 Hz. At this time, the wave crest is caused by 1 / 2 of the meshing frequency of the automobile gear, and the automobile vibration is more intense.

From the above assembly situation, it can be seen that the assembly error has an impact on the vibration of automobile gears, and improper assembly has a great impact on people’s comfort.

The above four situations are the main causes of automobile gear vibration. It is inevitable that there are other reasons when the automobile is running.
