1. Equivalent stress analysis of three-dimensional contact of smooth cylindrical gear

The results of three-dimensional contact equivalent stress of cylindrical gear by using ANSYS general post processor show that figure 1 is the cloud diagram of equivalent stress distribution of smooth cylindrical gear contact and the local enlarged diagram of contact area. It can be seen from the figure that the maximum value of equivalent stress appears at the contact position between the top of big gear and the root of pinion, and the peak value of equivalent stress is 91.682mpa; The equivalent stress value of the contact area of the contact surface of two cylindrical gears is between 61.121-81.495mpa.

2. Contact stress analysis of three-dimensional contact of smooth cylindrical gear

Select the contact elements of the contact surface of two cylindrical gears to carry out the contact stress of the smooth cylindrical gear. The results show that figure 2 shows the cloud diagram and local enlarged diagram of the contact stress of the contact surface of the smooth cylindrical gear. It can be seen from the figure that there are four contact surface elements in the previous definition of contact, but in the process of loading contact, the actual contact surface has only two contact pairs, which are the contact elements of the second and fourth contact pairs respectively. The maximum value of contact stress still appears at the contact position between the top of big gear and the root of small gear, and the peak value of contact stress is 143.592mpa; The contact stress value of the contact surface of the two gears is between 95.728-127.637mpa.
