Symmetrical double cone roll rolling technology for toothed blank of spiral bevel gear

Symmetrical double cone roll rolling technology and rotary rolling technology are the same technology of local pressurization and continuous accumulation forming. Due to the effect of eccentric load on the blank during swing rolling, the symmetrical double cone roll rolling machine came into being on its basis, which greatly solved the problem of eccentric load on the blank of swing rolling technology.

The important feature of the machining process of symmetrical double roll axial rolling spiral bevel gear is that the position of the action line of rolling force resultant force remains unchanged and coincides with the axis line of the machine tool, which is the greatest improvement compared with swing rolling, and solves the eccentric load and imbalance of blank during swing rolling.

Zhu Chundong introduced the principle of symmetrical double roll axial rolling mill, put forward a new process of symmetrical double roll axial rolling to form spiral bevel gear, simulated and analyzed the deformation process of the new process by using rigid plastic finite element simulation software, and theoretically calculated the forming process force.

According to the simulation and calculation results, the process test of rolling spiral bevel gear is carried out on the symmetrical double roll rolling machine. The test results show that the new process can ensure the filling of spiral tooth profile and greatly reduce the forming force.
