The three-dimensional modeling of hypoid gear is based on the establishment of mathematical model. Firstly, the basic curve and gear basic circle are created to complete the establishment of gear tooth embryo, the tooth profile curve of single tooth is created, and the tooth profile of single tooth is established. Taking the tooth profile as the guide line, the tooth profile at both ends is scanned into a single tooth by hybrid scanning method, and the design of the whole hypoid gear is completed through array.
For the establishment of three-dimensional model of hypoid gear, the gear blank must be established first, and the gear teeth must be created on the gear blank. In Pro / E2 0 sketch mode, sketch the curve according to the advanced mathematical model and design requirements, and create the datum plane, as shown in Figure 1,
By the complete parameterization of the hypoid gear, the parameters are added in the modeling process. In Pro / E2 0 define parameters under tools / parameters menu, as shown in Figure 2:
Add a relationship in the tool / relationship, as shown in Figure 3:
