3D printing model of double-arc helical gear

The 3D model of the double-arc helical gear is printed with the Aurora Volvo A8 industrial 3D printer, and the material is nylon. The shape and structure of the tooth profile of the double-arc helical gear can be clearly seen, and the rationality of the structure and modeling can be verified. The 3D model generated by UG is imported into the 3D printer in STL format, and the double-arc helical gear model printed at the scale of 1:1 is shown in the figure.

The transition curve of involute double-circular-arc spiral gear is generated by means of geometry and MATLAB programming. The parametric modeling and motion simulation of involute double-circular-arc gear in the form of transition curve are realized by UG12.0 and MATLAB software. The rationality of the design and modeling of double-circular-arc gear is verified by 3D printing technology.

Use the CAM module of UG12.0 software to carry out NC machining on the double-arc gear model, generate the tool path path, and obtain the NC program through the post-processor. By importing the NC machine model, control system and NC program, defining the blank and tool, the simulation environment is built, and the double-arc spiral gear is simulated on the Vericut NC simulation platform. The results show that the tool path planning, NC program and tool model of NC milling double circular arc helical gear meet the machining conditions, and verify the correctness of NC simulation machining of double circular arc helical gear.
