Analysis on the influence of input speed change of hypoid gear on dynamic transmission error

From the comparison of the dynamic and static transmission errors of hypoid gears, it can be seen that when the constant speed and constant torque are input, the static transmission error and the dynamic transmission error are the same and the fluctuation part is not different. Therefore, it can be concluded that the influence of different input torques on the dynamic transmission error and the static transmission error are the same. In order to further analyze the dynamic effect of hypoid gear engagement, the influence of input speed change on dynamic transmission error is analyzed below.

In the dynamic simulation process, when a constant speed is applied to the hypoid gear small wheel model, the output speed of the hypoid gear large wheel fluctuates, as shown in Fig. 1. Different input speeds correspond to the relative value of the output speed fluctuation of the hypoid gear large wheel (actual output speed / theoretical output speed). It can be seen that the fluctuation amplitude of the output speed of the hypoid gear large wheel is not different.

There is no doubt that the input load type will affect the dynamic transmission error of hypoid gears in ABAQUS simulation. In the actual work of the automobile drive axle, the input speed is generally variable rather than constant. In the previous simulation, it is assumed that the speed input of the drive axle is constant, but in practice, the dynamic effect will change due to the speed change between the interacting hypoid gear pairs. The speed change of input hypoid gear will cause the transmission error change of the current meshing hypoid gear pair, and make the driven hypoid gear accelerate and decelerate, which will cause the input fluctuation of the next meshing hypoid gear pair, thus causing the transmission error peak to peak change. In the following, when the driving speed of the vehicle is 10km / h, that is, when the constant speed of the hypoid gear small wheel pair is 6.3rad/s, the relative value of the output speed fluctuation of the hypoid gear large wheel is taken as the input speed fluctuation coefficient, which is respectively compared with the two cases where the fluctuation coefficient is amplified by 1 times and the fluctuation coefficient is amplified by 20 times, that is, the relative value of the input speed fluctuation of the hypoid gear small wheel is obtained as shown in Fig. 2. It can be seen that when the fluctuation is amplified by 20 times, The fluctuation relative value is large, and the fluctuation up and down exceeds 10% of the speed. As shown in Fig. 3, the impact of input speed fluctuation on dynamic transmission error can be seen that when the input speed fluctuation is small, the dynamic transmission error and static transmission error are basically the same, and the impact of speed fluctuation on transmission error is small. When the input speed fluctuates greatly, the dynamic transmission error fluctuates greatly, but there is a periodic component in the transmission error with the same trend as the static transmission error.
