As a tool that must be used in gear hobbing process, the design method of automobile gear hob has also been deeply studied by many scientific research institutions and enterprises. It is to study the design elements of automobile gear hob from the perspective of production process application.
With the continuous increase of China’s economic scale, the automobile industry has stabilized through explosive growth, the market demand for automobiles has changed from use type to technology type, and the trend of industrial upgrading is irreversible. Automobile gear hob is theoretically a tool for machining gears according to the generation method. It can process involute gears, involute splines, rectangular splines, as well as modified or non modified gears. The module range of parts that can be processed is also large. Gears with module less than 1 of odometer in the automobile and gears with module greater than 40 can be processed with automobile gear hob. The same tool can process gears with the same modulus and any number of teeth, which mainly depends on the processing equipment. Since the reform and opening up, China has introduced a large number of advanced CNC gear processing equipment. Now the precision and efficiency of gears processed by China’s automobile industry have been very close to the advanced level of foreign countries.
