Since the 1990s, China has successfully developed a number of CNC spiral bevel gear milling machines based on the original machine tool structure, including yh2240 CNC spiral bevel gear milling machine jointly developed by Qinchuan machine tool plant and Xi’an Jiaotong University, yk212 and yk2245 six axis five linkage CNC gear milling machines developed by the gear Research Institute of Central South University Numerical control spiral bevel gear milling machines such as ykd2122 and ykd2280 developed by Tianjin first machine tool factory, yh6012 numerical control spiral bevel gear milling machine developed by Tianjin Jingcheng Machine Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and yks3112 and yks3140 developed by Chongqing machine tool factory, which can be used for wet and dry gear hobbing.
At present, the manufacturing accuracy of spiral bevel gears and hypoid gears abroad has reached a high level, while most Chinese enterprises still use mechanical spiral bevel gears and hypoid gear processing machines.
