Dynamic characteristics of spiral bevel gear transmission system with damping ring

The dynamic characteristics of spiral bevel gear transmission system with additional damping ring are studied. The main contents are as follows:

(1) Using the lumped mass method, considering the time-varying meshing stiffness, transmission error and tooth side clearance, the 12 degree of freedom nonlinear dynamic model of spiral bevel gear transmission system with additional damping ring is established, the dynamic differential equations are listed and dimensionless.

(2) The natural characteristics of spiral bevel gear transmission with additional damping ring are studied, including the natural frequency and the corresponding array diagram of each order frequency. The effects of the average meshing stiffness of spiral bevel gear, the support stiffness of driving wheel and the radial support stiffness of damping ring on the natural frequency of spiral bevel gear transmission with additional damping ring are discussed, It provides a theoretical basis for the tuning of spiral bevel gear transmission by adding damping ring.

(3) The dynamic response of spiral bevel gear transmission system with additional damping ring is studied. The dynamic response of gear system with and without additional damping ring is compared. It is found that the displacement and velocity response of each degree of freedom are significantly reduced after additional damping ring; The effects of structural parameters of closed damping ring and open damping ring on the dynamic response and dynamic load coefficient of the system are studied, which provides a certain theoretical basis for the rational design of damping ring structure.
