In order to study the influence of different dynamic loading conditions on the contact area of spiral bevel gear, the change rules of contact area of five adjacent meshing tooth pairs are extracted respectively, as shown in Fig. 1 ~ 5.
According to the change curve of contact area, the change law of contact area and contact force of spiral bevel gear is basically the same in the process of dynamic loading, that is, there is a large impact amplitude in the initial meshing stage. It can be seen from figures 1, 2 and 3 that under the same load and different speed conditions, the maximum contact area decreases with the decrease of speed; The contact area after smooth meshing also decreases with the decrease of rotating speed. It can be seen from figures 1, 4 and 5 that the meshing impact effect has no obvious change under the same speed and different load conditions; Under the light load condition, the contact area also has a zero value, which again shows that the gear transmission has a phenomenon of de meshing.
