Taking a pair of spiral bevel gears processed by SGM (large wheel generation method and small wheel deformation method) as an example, this paper constructs its finite element analysis model for loading contact finite element analysis, and calculates the comprehensive meshing stiffness of spiral bevel gears based on the contact force and comprehensive deformation calculated by finite element.
The finite element mesh model can be obtained by importing the three-dimensional solid geometric model into the finite element preprocessing software. At the same time, according to the contact mechanics, the contact pressure is highly concentrated near the contact area, and its strength decreases sharply with the increase of the distance from the contact point. Therefore, the stress in the contact area does not depend on the geometry and boundary conditions far away from the contact area. Considering that the research focus of this paper is the stiffness change of single tooth contact, in order to avoid the influence of edge rigid body coupling constraints on the calculation results, five pairs of teeth are used for analysis. The finite element model of meshed five tooth spiral bevel gear pair is shown in the figure.
