Establishment of three-dimensional mathematical model of spur bevel gear

According to the above tooth surface point calculation software, the three-dimensional accurate mathematical model of spur bevel gear can be established in UG software. The steps are as follows:

(1) Create a single tooth surface piece of spur bevel gear. The tooth surface point data is imported into UG software in the form of (. DAT) file, and the tooth surface patch is established by using the command “through point – point in file” in the surface modeling tool bar, as shown in Figure 1.

(2) Create the other two piece faces of the spur bevel gear slot. Use the mirror surface feature to mirror the tooth surface piece in the first step to establish a symmetrical tooth groove surface, as shown in Fig. 2. Use the “ruled surface” feature to establish the tooth groove bottom surface, as shown in Figure 3.

(3) Create the entire tooth slot of spur bevel gear. Sew the two surfaces of the tooth slot and the bottom surface of the tooth slot to form a complete surface of the tooth slot, as shown in Fig. 4.

(4) Create spur bevel gear blank. According to the drawing requirements, the gear blank model of 804-601 left half shaft gear is created, as shown in Fig. 5.

(5) Create the final digital model of spur bevel gear. Use the surface of the tooth slot piece created in step 3 to cut a tooth slot, as shown in Figure 6. Use the “circular array” command to create the digital model after the final modification, as shown in Figure 7.

Using the same method, the mathematical model of 804-603 planetary gear is established, as shown in Fig. 8. The mathematical model of planetary gear is not modified in tooth shape and tooth length direction.
