Influence of machine tool setting parameters on the tooth surface of cycloid hypoid gear

For cycloid hypoid gears processed by double-sided method, both sides of the tooth groove are processed at the same time, so the change of machine tool setting parameters has an impact on both sides of the tooth surface. Figure 1 and Figure 2 respectively show the tooth surface error caused by the disturbance of the setting parameters of small wheel and large wheel machine tools. The comparative analysis shows that:

(1) In terms of tooth profile: except for the initial rocker angle, the geometric changes of tooth surface will be caused by the addition of disturbance to other parameters; Cutter inclination, bed correction and cutter position mainly cause the pressure angle deviation in the direction of tooth height, among which the influence of cutter position is the most obvious; The vertical gear position, the correction amount of horizontal gear position and the installation angle of machine tool will cause the diagonal deviation of tooth surface, that is, it will cause the pressure angle deviation in the direction of tooth height and the spiral angle deviation in the direction of tooth width at the same time, among which the influence of vertical gear position is the most obvious; The cutter angle has little effect on the tooth surface geometry.

(2) In terms of tooth thickness: except for the initial rocker angle, the tooth thickness will change after the disturbance is added to each parameter; Cutter inclination, cutter angle, vertical wheel position, bed correction and machine tool installation angle increase the tooth thickness, among which the influence of bed correction and machine tool installation angle is the most obvious; The tooth thickness is reduced by the correction of cutter position and horizontal wheel position, and the influence of the correction of horizontal wheel position is obvious.
