1. Brief description of transmission structure layout of multi-stage gear reducer
The research on the structural layout of the three-stage gear transmission system is the research on the spatial relative position between multiple pairs of gear transmission mechanisms [4-6]. First, the plane where the input shaft and output shaft of the primary gear transmission system are located is set as the reference system, and the position of the axis plane of the secondary gear transmission system relative to the axis plane of the primary reference gear transmission system is set to be coplanar or orthogonal, Therefore, the layout of the three-stage gear reducer has four typical structural layouts, as shown in Fig. 1.

2. Transmission structure layout scheme of three-stage gear reducer
The reducer designed is a heavy-duty reducer for cranes, and the horizontal structure layout on the opposite side is selected. Helical involute gear transmission is selected as the gear pair structure, which has the advantages of uniform speed and good balance, and is suitable for high-speed and heavy-duty working conditions. The shaft of the reducer adopts simple support structure and single fixed. The bearing type is sliding bearing, and the axial fixed bearing is tapered roller bearing. The reducer structure is shown in Fig. 2.
