After the assembly of hob and helical gear, the following settings must be completed before the hobbing motion simulation of helical gear:
(1) Select enter mechanism mode.
(2) Define the gear pair connection. Select the moving shafts of hob and face gear respectively, select “user defined” in the “properties” dialog box, and enter the transmission ratio of the two 80:1.
(3) Define the servo motor. The pin connection of the hob is used as the driving joint. Under “contour – Specification”, select “speed”, under “mode”, select “constant”, and set a as 80. Because the number of hob heads is 1, the helical gear rotates to the reciprocal of the number of helical gear teeth per revolution of the hob in hobbing processing is 1 / 80.
(4) Define analysis. Select “mechanism analysis definition”, under the type option group, select “kinematics”, set the frame rate to 10 and the minimum interval to 0.1 for operation and saving.
The motion process of hob and helical gear is simulated in order to find the effective length of hob without interference. Observation after operation; Select “playback previous motion analysis” for result analysis, set “conflict detection settings” as “global conflict detection”, and calculate the interference in the whole motion process in “playback”.
