NC machining of spiral bevel gear

Based on the analysis of spiral bevel gear design, manufacturing, testing and error correction technology, ZHY Gear believes that there are the following deficiencies in the NC machining of spiral bevel gear:

(1) The geometric simulation of spiral bevel gear machining process is much more than physical simulation. Geometric simulation focuses on tooth profile accuracy simulation and correction, TCA analysis, transmission error design and so on. The geometric simulation does not consider the manufacturing and installation errors of cutting tools and wheel blanks, nor does it involve the influence of cutting parameters on tooth surface accuracy in actual machining.

(2) In the design of spiral bevel gear NC gear milling machine, there is a lack of basic research data such as cutting force. Most of the methods used are analogy with Gleason Phoenix gear milling machine of the same specification. The lack of original data such as cutting force also affects the power verification of main motor, the monitoring of milling force in the process of gear milling and the fatigue life design of key parts of gear milling machine.

(3) The existing cutting parameters for the traditional mechanical gear milling machine can not give full play to the characteristics of high efficiency and high precision of NC gear milling machine. In production practice, a method of cutting parameter optimization of NC gear milling machine is needed.

(4) For the finish milling of spiral bevel gears, there is a lack of research on the influence of cutting parameters on the machining tooth surface accuracy, which makes the finish machining surface quality unstable and increases the times of trial cutting and adjustment.
