Study on continuous cold extrusion process of spur gear (sun gear)

Based on the numerical simulation, the cold extrusion process and die design of spur cylindrical gear (sun gear) are partially studied. The research work needs to be supplemented and improved from the following points:

① The formulation of cold extrusion process plan needs to be further explored. Only three cold extrusion process schemes are designed and compared by numerical simulation. The design of process scheme is limited by the guiding accuracy of existing equipment and the level of die manufacturing.

② When studying the influence law of process parameters on external tooth forming quality and load, only the important structural process parameters of tooth cavity are analyzed by single factor, without considering the interaction between multiple factors, it is necessary to deeply study the influence law of the interaction between various process parameters on the multi-objective of external tooth forming.

③ The selected optimal process scheme only studies the external tooth process and die design of continuous cold extrusion. In the follow-up, it is also necessary to complete the optimal selection of tooth surface cold finishing quantity and the optimal design of cold finishing die, so as to realize the practical application of the process scheme in the industrial production of spur gear.
