After the calculation, the equivalent stress of the contact of the concave cylindrical gear is carried out by using the general post processor in ANSYS. The results show that figure 1 shows the equivalent stress cloud diagram and local enlarged diagram of the contact of the concave cylindrical gear. The maximum value of the equivalent stress appears at the contact position between the top of the big gear and the root of the small gear, and the peak value of the equivalent stress is 106.393mpa; The range of contact equivalent stress of the contact surface of two cylindrical gears is 47.286-70.929mpa; Although the peak value of equivalent stress is higher than that of smooth cylindrical gear, the equivalent stress of contact surface is obviously lower than that of smooth cylindrical gear.

Only the stress distribution on the contact surface of cylindrical gear is studied. In order to understand the stress distribution in the contact area of cylindrical gear tooth surface more intuitively and clearly, two cylindrical gears are abstracted separately, and the equivalent stress of the contact surface of a single cylindrical gear is analyzed; Figure 2 shows the distribution of the overall equivalent stress in the contact area of the large gear, and the distribution of the equivalent stress in the pit type area is on the right side of the figure. The maximum equivalent stress appears in the middle of the two pit types, and the maximum value of the equivalent stress is 106.393mpa.

Select two cylindrical gear contact surface contact elements to display the contact stress of the concave cylindrical gear. Figure 3 shows the cloud diagram and local enlarged diagram of the contact stress of the smooth cylindrical gear contact surface. Since there are only two pairs of effective contact surfaces of the cylindrical gear, only the contact stress of the effective contact surface is displayed, and there is no contact stress problem on the other two surfaces. The maximum value of contact stress still appears at the contact position between the top of big gear and the root of small gear. The peak value of contact stress is 124.964mpa, which is significantly less than that of smooth cylindrical gear; The contact stress value of the contact surface of two cylindrical gears is between 83.309-111.079mpa, which is also lower than that of smooth cylindrical gears.
