Tooth surface reconstruction of logarithmic spiral bevel gear

Based on the idea of reconstructing the real tooth surface of logarithmic spiral bevel gear, the original data points of the collected tooth surface are inversely calculated by NURBS algorithm to form the profile control points required to construct the tooth surface curve, so as to form the tooth surface interpolation curve.

The tooth surface shape of logarithmic spiral bevel gear is reconstructed again by the formed interpolation curve, and the real tooth surface mathematical model of logarithmic spiral bevel gear is established through numerical analysis.

The tooth surface reconstruction is realized by using the reverse engineering software Imageware, and the accuracy of the reconstructed tooth surface is analyzed and calculated. The results show that the tooth surface of logarithmic spiral bevel gear reconstructed by NURBS algorithm meets the accuracy requirements.
