Improvement measures for broken teeth of large helical gear of loader drive axle

(1) Replace the gear cutting tool with bigger fillet on the top of the tooth to increase the radius of curvature of the fillet on the root and reduce the stress concentration at the root.

(2) Inspect the gears to ensure that the large helical gears and bevel gears matched with them are machined qualified and the meshing spot size meets the relevant standard and technical requirements.

(3) It is recommended that large helical gears be made of 20CrMnTiH steel with good hardenability in order to obtain stable and qualified core hardness and thus improve the support function of the gear center to the surface layer.

(4) To increase the bending fatigue strength of gears by means of strong shot peening during the production of gears.
