When m = 4, z = 31, RT = 100 mm, 200 mm, 300 mm, 400 mm, respectively, measure the tooth thickness in the middle section and the section 15 mm, 30 mm and 45 mm away from the middle section, and calculate the tooth thickness deviation. The variation trend is shown in Fig. 1.
It can be seen from Figure that:

(1) the tooth width has a great influence on the tooth thickness deviation of cylindrical gear with circular arc tooth profile, and the general trend is that the tooth thickness deviation increases with the increase of tooth width. The results show that the cylindrical gear with circular tooth profile is gradually thinner from the middle section to the end face, and the bearing capacity of the gear decreases;

(2) due to the gradual thinning of the gear tooth thickness, the part of the tooth surface close to the end face does not contact. If a larger tooth width is adopted in the design, the material waste will be caused and the economic cost will be increased;
(3) in the same section, from the root to the top of the tooth, the tooth thickness deviation gradually
With the increase of the tooth thickness, the tooth thickness becomes thinner, especially when the tooth line radius is small and far away
