Locus of contact center point of spiral bevel gear under load

Taking the number of large teeth of the gear pair as 47 and the number of small teeth as 33 as an example, according to the torque transmitted by the gear as 600nm, the changes of the contact locus of the spiral bevel gear under no load and the contact center locus of the spiral bevel gear under load are compared.

Taking the number of large teeth of the gear pair as 39 and the number of small teeth as 13 as an example, according to the torque transmitted by the gear as 600nm, the changes of the contact locus of the spiral bevel gear under no load and the contact center locus of the spiral bevel gear under load are compared.

It can be seen from the changes of the contact track of the spiral bevel gear under no-load and the contact center point track of the spiral bevel gear under loading of the above two pairs of spiral bevel gear pairs that when the meshing point is close to the tooth root, the contact center point of the loaded spiral bevel gear is biased towards the small end of the gear, and when the meshing point is close to the tooth top, the contact center point of the loaded spiral bevel gear is biased towards the big end of the gear.
